Company Selection Background
Indonesia has the potential for a large logistics business due to its geography, but currently it is still not efficient. The population that continues to increase also makes Indonesian Government need infrastructure and work together with the private sector in meeting the supply chain for daily needs. So by considering this background, the author analyzes the financial performance of business people in the supply chain for consumer products or commonly known as distributor companies. The author tries to compare the financial performance of two companies that compete in the same business, but have one different capital structure apart from being owned by the public. PT Wicaksana Overseas International Tbk, which is a joint venture between a foreign company (DKSH Holding AG) and a local party (Djajadi Djaja). Meanwhile, PT Tigaraksa Satria Tbk is wholly owned by local companies (PT Penta Widjaja Investindo, PT Sarana Ledaun, PT Widjajatunggal Sejahtera, PT Ekatriadi Kusuma, Patrick Rudianto Wijdjaja, Charise N Soemarno W).
